MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Wednesday, November 18, 2014
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Present at the meeting were:
x Mayor Maxwell x City Manager Mike Mornson
x Jason Gadd x Cheryl Youakim
x Molly Cummings x Kristi Halverson
x Steve Stadler x Kersten Elverum
Council member Jason Gadd provided an update on Beyond the Yellow Ribbon.
Council member Jason Gadd talked about a nice project they completed for a vet who needed a
new furnace.
City Manager Mike Mornson:
Talked to the council about process for buying the Albert Pike property on Mainstreet.
Talked about a meeting he and the mayor had with the school district.
Updated council on a grant that the police will be working on in the next month.
Mentioned that the city won a Humphrey Innovation award for the process on
Cottageville Park. He stated that Community Development Coordinator Meg Beekman
and the planning intern put a lot of effort into the award.
Steve Stadler updated the council on the process for Mainstreet bids and the electric charger
currently in the ramp.
Kersten Elverum updated council on the planning grant from Hennepin County and other
development activities.
There being no further business Council member Halverson moved and Council Member Gadd
seconded a motion to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned by unanimous consent at 8:30 p.m.
