80-2835 CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. 80-2835 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING FOR HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 79-2789 of the Council adopted August 21, 1979, a report has been prepared by John Strojan, City Engineer, with reference to YEAR II PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT STRATEGY AREA, the area from Eighth Avenue, Ninth Avenue and Tenth Avenue North from First Street North to Minnetonka Mills Road and First, Second, Third and Fourth Street North and Minnetonka Mills Road from Eighth Avenue North to Tenth Avenue North by the installation of sidewalk, curb and gutter and street surfacing thereon and this report was received by the Council on March 18th, 1980. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of: That part of the 60 foot right-of-way of Chicago and Northwestern Railroad lying between Seventh Avenue North and Eleventh Avenue North in Section 24, Township 117, Range 22; That part of north 1/2 of Section 24, Township 117, Range 22 lying southerly of State Highway No. 7 and northerly of Minnetonka Mills Road and west of Gethsemane Road, except road; also Lots 1 thru 10, 4IPinclusive, Block 78; Lots 1 thru 21, inclusive, Block 79; Lots 1 thru 24, inclus4.17 , Block 80; Lots 13 thru 24, inclusive, Block 81; Lots 13 thru 24, inclusive, Block 86; Lots 1 thru 24, inclusive, Block 87; Lots 1 thru 24, inclusive, Block 88; Lots 1 thru 12, inclusive, Block 89; Lots 1 thru 12, inclusive, Block 98; Lots 1 thru 24, inclusive, Block 99; Lots 1 thru 22, inclusive, Block 100; Lots 9 thru 17, inclusive, Block 101; Lots 1 and 2, Block 104; Lots 1 thru 3, inclusive, Block 105, all in West Minneapolis Second Division for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to M.S.A. , Secs. 429.011 to Secs. 429.111, as amended, at an estimated total cost of the improve- ment of $365,936.00, and will further consider the market value before and after said improvement, of the property affected thereby. 111 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 15th day of April, 1980, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 7:30 o'clock P.M. , and the Clerk shall give published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law. 41; Adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 18th day of March, 1980.
