RESOLUTION NO. 80-2846
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING
FOR HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution NO. 80-2832 of the Council adopted March 4, 1980,
a report has been prepared by John Strojan, City Engineer, with reference to the in-
stallation of street lights on the west side or 11th Avenue South from 7th Street to
11th Street; bituminous sidewalk on the west side of 11th Avenue South from 7th Street
to 11th Street; crosswalk and flasher at the intersection of 11th Avenue and West-
brooke Way and this report was received by the Council on April 15th, 1980.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA, as follows:
• 1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with
the report and the assessment of: That part of the east one-half of north 3/4 of North-
east Quarter of Southwest Quarter lying east of west 33 feet thereof and southwesterly
of creek, except roads; North 213 feet of east 250 feet of west one-half of Northeast
Quarter of Southwest Quarter, except roads; South 280 feet of north 493 feet of east
250 feet of west one-half of Northeast Quarter of Southwest Quarter, except road;
East one-half of south one-quarter of Northeast Quarter of Southwest quarter, also
that part of Northeast Quarter of Southeast Quarter of Southwest Quarter lying north
of Westbrooke 4, except roads; all of the above in Section 25, Township 117, Range 22;
all of Westbrooke IV; Lots 1 thru 30, inclusive, Block 2, Davison's Addition to West
41/ Minneapolis: Lots 1 thru 145, inclusive, Block 1 and Lots 1 thru 331, inclusive,
Block 2; Outlot A, all in Westbrooke Patio Homes, for all or a portion of the cost of
the improvement pursuant to M.S.A. , Secs. 429.011 to Secs. 429.111, as amended, at an
estimated cost of the improvement of $19,780.00 for street lights; $21,477.80 for
bituminous sidewalk; $3,940.85 for flasher and crosswalk; and will further consider
the market value before and after said improvement, of the property affected thereby.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 3rd day
of June,1980, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 7:30 o'clock P.M. , and the
Clerk shall give published notice of such earing and improvement as required by law.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 15th day of
