RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE
OF CERTAIN PREMISES IN THE SOUTH HALF OF
SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 117, RANGE 22 , BY
WARRANTY DEED TO BE SIGNED AND EXECUTED
BY THE HOPKINS MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
WHEREAS , the City of Hopkins is the owner of record of
the following described premises situated in the City of Hopkins
Hennepin County, Minnesota:
That part of the South half of Section 25, Town-
ship 117, Range 22 , described as follows :
Commencing at the point of the intersection of the
North line of said South half of said Section 25
with the Southeasterly right-of-way line of the
Chicago, Milwaukee, St . Paul and Pacific Railroad
right-of-way ; thence Southwesterly along said
41/ Railroad right-of-way line a distance of 200 feet ;
thence at right angles Southeasterly a distance of
150 feet ; thence Northeasterly at right angles a
distance of 200 feet ; thence Northwesterly in a
straight line to the point of beginning.
WHEREAS , the said City' s use for said premises for the
deposit and compaction of organic matters and refuse has been
terminated and the City of Hopkins has no further use or need for
said premises and has publicly advertised for bids to sell said
premises and has accepted therefor the bid of Thomas W. Rutledge .
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved that said premises
shall be conveyed by Warranty Deed to said purchaser, and the
Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Hopkins are hereby authorized
and empowered hereby to sign and execute the Deed of such conveyance
as above set forth.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins ,
Minnesota, at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of December, 1980 .
