RESOLUTION NO. 82- 3045
A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF
ENGINEERS REPORT ON IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, a petition has been received requesting the
consideration be given to the improvement of Althea Lane, Herman
Terrace and Sweet Briar Lane by the installation of ornamental
street lights thereon and the assessment of benefitting property
for all or a portion of the cost of the :improvement pursuant to
M.S.A. , Secs. 429.011 to Secs. 429.111, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA, that the proposed improvement be referred
to John Strojan, ; ity Engineer, for study and he is instructed to
report with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary
way as to whether the proposed improvements are feasible and as to
whether they should best be made as proposed or in connection with some
other improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvements as
recommended.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota,
this 2nd day of November, 1982.

on the improvement hereby and hereinafter petitioned for, do hereby
petition that you install, improve, extend and construct

Irewould like a no parking restriction for the West side of the street on
the basis of: 1. Street too narrow for an ambulance or fire truck to get
through when both sides have cars.
2. Last winter, there were at least several days the snow
plow didn't get through.
3. Both sides of the street have adequate off-street parking
facilities.
4. With a car parked on the opposite side of the street and
one each on each side of a driveway, there is no room to
get out of the driveways, .especially with a snowfall.
