RESOLUTION NO. 75-2444
RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND
PREPARA'1"ION OF PI,ANS
WHEREAS a Resolution of the City Council, No. 75-2435, adopted the 6th
day of May, 1975, fixed a date for a hearing on the proposed improvement of
the alley west of Monroe Avenue South from First Street 5outh toward Second
Street South by the installation of concrete surfacing thereon, the total
estimated cost thereof being $7,503.75 for concrete surfacing and $400.00
for grading and blacktop to meet existing driveways, and
WHEREAS all property owners whose property is liable to be assessed for
the making of this improvement were given ten days published notice of the
council hearing through two weekly publications of the required notice, and
a hearing was held and the property owners heard thereon on the 3rd day of
June, 1975.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by tYie Council of the City of Hopkins:
1. Such alley is hereby ordered as proposed in Council Resolution
No. 2435 adopted May 6, 1975. Benefitting property owners shall pay eighty
percent of the cost over a ten year period and the City of Hopkins shall pay
twenty percent out of the General Fund,
2. That John Strojan, City Engineer, is hereby designated as the Engineer
for this improvement and he shal.l prepare plans and specifications for the
making of such improvement.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 3rd
day of June, 1975.
