RESOLUTION N0. 75-2454
RESOLUTION REGARDING HOPKINS-MINNETONKA JOINT
RECREATION ACTIVITIES.
WHEREAS, a report on the recreational activities has been submitted by
the Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Board and a minortiy report submitted by
Jenny Arimond, a representative of the Hopkins Park Board, and a report on the
subject has als�o been submitted by the respective Mayors and City Managers of
the two municipalities, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS:
that a1Z reports be received and that the people who worked and studied on
this matter be thanked.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
I. That the physical location of the department headquarters
remains as it is now.
2. That the agreement be arr�nded for a period of five years.
3. That pending further study, administrative costs be sp.Zit 60
percent (60%) to Minnetonka and 40 percent (40i) to Hopkins.
4. That the Joint Recreation Commission extend services to the
Hopkins-Minnetonka citizens living in other school districts
directly or by cooperation with recreation departments from
those areas.
5. The respective City Managers jointly administer this program to
the end that it be a unified, strong department of both
communi ti es.
Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, at
a regular meeting held the Sth daz� of August, 1975.
