RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSN�TIr!'S
WI�RF.AS, pursuant to proper notice duly published and given as required by
law, the City Council of the City of Hopkins has met and heard on October 7th, 1975,
and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for the removal of certain
infected trees and nuisances thereon in Block 1, Davison's Addition to West Minneapolis:
NOW, TI�RF�'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF flOPKINS, MINNESOTA,
as follaws:
1. Such proposed assessnent, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof are hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against
the lands therein named and each tract of land therein included is hereby found to
be benefitted by the proposed improvement in the amount of the assessn�nt levied
against it.
2. Such assessrrient shall be payable in equal annual installm�alts extending
over the periods of years set forth in the Sched.ules of Assessments, the first of the
installr.�.nts to be payable on or before January 2, 1976. Any deferred installments
shall bear interest at the rate of six percent (60) per annum fran the 7th day of
October, 1975. To the first install�ents shall. be added interest on the entire
respective assessment froqn October 7, 1975 until DecP.mber 31, 1975. To each subsequent
instal]ment, when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid instal]ments.
3. The awner of any property so assessed may at any, except between November
15th and December 31st, prior to the certification of the assessr�ents to the Hennepin
County Auditor, as herein provided, pay the whole of the assessme�lts against any parce�,
with interest accrued to date of payme.nt, to the City Manager, except that no interest
shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid before November 15. Also, the owner
of any property may at any time thereafter, except between November 15th and December
31st, of each year, pay to the City Manager, the entire ampunt of the assessments
remaining unpaid.
4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate or duplicates
of these assessments to the Hennepin County Auclitor to be extended on the proper
tax lists of the County, and such assessments shall be collected. and paid over in
the same manner as other municipal t�es.
Passed and adopted ty the Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this
7th day of October, 1975.
