Overview
In accordance with City Code section 1200.28, the City Council will consider and allow for public
comment on the application Tibet Corner, LLC for an On-Sale Wine and 3.2% Malt Liquor
License. Tibet Corner, LLC will be leasing the former Curry N Noodles space at 802 Mainstreet.
Tibet Corner plans to Saturday, October 3 but will not be allowed to serve liquor until the licenses
are finalized. The liquor license will become effective upon approval from the State and will
expire on June 30, 2016.
Per Section 1200.07 of the Hopkins City Code, Tibet Corner LLC may sell wine not exceeding 24
percent alcohol by volume and is authorized to sell “strong beer” for consumption only on the
licensed premise.
The Police Department reviewed the application for the liquor license request. The background
investigation on Tenzing Norsang, sole owner of the business, has been completed. The Police
Department recommends approval of the license as requested. Mr. Tenzing will attend the
meeting on Tuesday night.
Upon City Council approval of the liquor license request, the State application will be sent to the
