We solicited proposals from several lighting/electrical contractors and opened proposals on Sept 30. We received five competitive quotes with Parsons Electric being the lowest cost proposal — see attached bid tabulation. This projecfi will retrofit existing light fixtures with new LED fixtures with photocell and occupancy sensors. The lighting upgrade will slightly increase the level of illumination in the ramp and the adjacent alley; the estimated energy savings is nearly $10,000 per year. The expected Xcel Energy rebate is about $5,000. The construction is planned to begin in late October and be completed by December 18. The ramp will not have to be shut down for this work.
