REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
NOVEMBER 1, 2016
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Hopkins City Council was held
on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 7:05 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1010 First
Street South, Hopkins.
Mayor Cummings called the meeting to order with Council Members Kuznia, Halverson, Gadd
and Campbell attending. Staff present included City Manager Mornson, Planning and
Development Director Elverum, Assistant City Manager Lenz and Public Works Director
Stadler.

Ayes: Kuznia, Halverson, Cummings, Gadd, Campbell.

PRESENTATIONS
III.1. Community Image Awards
Planning and Development Director Elverum gave an overview of the 2016 Community Image
Awards winners, thanking them for their contribution towards a positive community image.

Council Member Gadd accepted the award for Driskill’s.

Meadow Creek Condominiums representatives
accepted the award.
Mayor Cummings thanked the award winners for their investment in the Hopkins community.

Mayor Cummings commented that the City Council has reviewed the agenda items at Council
Work Sessions.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Give Local Fundraiser at Pizza Rev, 525 Blake Road North: November 30
Direct Ballot Voting at Hopkins City Hall: Tuesday, November 1 through Friday,
November 4 – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, November 5 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Monday,
November 7 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Election Day: Tuesday, November 8 – Polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Highway 7 at Highway 100 has reopened.
The next City Council meetings will be on Monday, November 7 and Monday,
November 14.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Gadd,
second by Campbell, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 7:14 p.m.
