AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Monday, November 14, 2076
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Cummings called the meeting to order at 8:13 p.m. Council Members and staff present at
meetinQ included the following:

The following updates were provided at the meeting:
City Manager Momson

City Council:
Council Member Gadd commented that Mainstreet Bar & Grill would be appealing the liquor
license infraction. Staff will discuss the situation with the City Attorney and possibly look at
modifying the dates of the penalty for the liquor license violation.
Council Member Kuznia received many compliments on the flags on Mainstreet for Veterans
Day.
Mayor Cummings discussed that the City Council would like ResourceWest to provide the
staff and Council with quarterly updates. City Manager Mornson will inform ResourceWest
staff.
Administration:
City Manager Mornson discussed that the small flags left on the City right-of-way was in
violation of the City Ordinance. Council commented that there were many positive
comments on social media sites regarding the small flags along the Avenues. Staff will call
the person who put up the flags asking them to pick them up.
City Manager Mornson commented that the Hopkins Youth Hockey Association (HYHA)
does not have a contract with the Hopkins Pavilion but HYHA does pay a fee for ice time.
Staff will look into developing a contract with HYHA prior to the Pavilion renovation.
The Cops and Kids shopping event received a financial donation from the Hopkins Jaycees
and other civic organizations. The majority of the shopping will now take place at Hopkins
businesses.
There was discussion that Mainstreet Bar & Grill would like to offer Bingo. There was
discussion that the ordinance was developed to preserve bingo as a fundraiser for charitable
gambling. Staff will continue to investigate.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Gadd,
seconded by Campbell, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 8:27 p.m.
