Appointment and Oath of Commissioner - Park Board Member Figgins; Mornson-Domeier (CR2017-037)February 21, 2017 Council Report 2017-037 Appointment and Oath of Commissioner – Park Board Member Figgins Proposed Action. Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Motion to appoint Emma Figgins to the Park Board for a term ending June 30, 2018. Overview: Mayor Cummings has reviewed the applications and interviewed applicants interested in serving on the commission. Based upon the recommendation of Mayor Cummings, staff is requesting approval of the motion to fill the Park Board vacancy with Emma Figgins for a term expiring June 30, 2018. After a motion has been made to appoint Ms. Figgins, the City Clerk will issue the oath. Primary Issues to Consider:  City Code establishes that the appointments shall be made by the Mayor with the approval of the Council.
