Proposed Fee Adjustments in Chapter 10 of the City Code; Kearney (CR2017-054) April 4, 2017 Council Report 2017-054 Proposed Fee Adjustments in Chapter 10 of the City Code Staff recommends approval of the following motion: Move to approve Resolution 2017-022 Amending Fees in Chapter 10 of the Hopkins City Code. Overview The common fees for all City departments are adopted by resolution and included in the City Code. Staff has been reviewing and working together to establish baseline charges that included calculated amounts of staff time and overhead costs involved for each fee. To date, the following fees have been reviewed and being brought to you for consideration:  Inspections: Building, Mechanical, Plumbing Permits, Rental Licensing, Truth In Housing Licensing and Filing Primary Issues to Consider  The proposed fee changes more accurately reflect the City’s costs for administering building, mechanical, plumbing permits, rental licensing and truth-in-housing programs. THEREFORE, NOW BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City Hopkins that it adopts the fee adjustments as outlined in Exhibit A effective April 4, 2017.
