Blake Road Project Update; Stanley Public Works Department Memorandum To: Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council CC: Mike Mornson, City Manager From: Nate Stanley, City Engineer Date: April 6, 2017 Re: April 11, 2017 Work Session Item – Blake Road Project Update Blake Road Project Final design of Blake Road has been underway since last fall and staff feels the project is at an appropriate stage to give an update on two significant tasks:  Streetscaping and aesthetic design  Right-of-way acquisition At the beginning of final design a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) was created to advise the development of corridor landscaping, streetscaping and other aesthetics. The CAC has come to a consensus on a layout and some recommendations which will be presented to Council. Right-of-way needs and acquisition limits have been determined. Prior to initiating negotiations with property owners, staff would like to share this information with the City Council and also discuss the process. Staff from WSB & Associates, the project engineering consultant, will be in attendance to present the information and answer questions. 1 Blake Road Corridor Improvements City Council Presentation April 11, 2017 Where are we now?
