BOARD OF REVIEW
TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2000
7:00 P.M.
A meeting of the Hopkins Board of Review was held on April 18, 2000 in the Council
Chambers.
A. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Gene Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:13 P.M. Hopkins Board of Review
members in attendance were: Mayor Maxwell, Councilmembers -Karen Jensen, Diane
Johnson, Fran Hesch and Rick Brausen. Also present were City Manager Steve Mielke,
City Assessor Bob Wilson, Residential Appraiser Kathleen Murphy and Bob Hanscom
representing Hennepin County.
B. INTRODUCTION TO BOARD OF REVIEW
City Assessor Bob Wilson made a short introduction regarding the purpose and process
of the Hopkins Board of Review.
C. MOTION TO APPOINT REAL ESTATE ADVISORS
Ms. Jensen moved and Ms. Hesch seconded a motion to appoint Shirley Bengston, Karen
Lanz and Heidi Wiesner as real estate advisors to the 2000 Board of Review. The
motion passed unanimously.
D. SCHEDULE OF PROPERTY OWNERS FILING WRITTEN APPEALS
The following property owners filed written appeals requesting the Board to review their
properties:
1) Firmus J. Opitz, regarding 315 Monroe Avenue North
(P.I.D. # 19-117-21 24 0105)
1999 Estimated Market Value: $118,000
2000 Estimated Market Value: $130,000
2) Chad Bahneman, regarding 301 14th Avenue North

2000 Estimated Market Value: $111,000
3) John Quinn, regarding 110 15th Avenue North
(P.I.D. # 24-117-22 32 0010)
1999 Estimated Market Value: $94,000
2000 Estimated Market Value: $100,000
E. ADJOURNMEN'T'
Ms. Johnson moved and Ms. Hesch seconded the motion to adjourn and continue
with a reconvened meeting of the Hopkins Board of Review scheduled for May 2,
2000. The meeting adjourned at 7:19 P.M. with unanimous consent.
