A regular seating of the Hopkins City Council ras held on
March 3, 1994 in the Council Chasbers of Hopkins City Hall.
Present Here Mayor Redepenning, Councilsembers Anderson,
Hesch, 1Critaler and l~axrell. Also present :rare staff
members l~ielke, Genellie, 8arasninq, Gessele, Kerrigan and
City Attorney Jerry Steiner.
I. CALL TO ORDHS
Mayor Redepenninq called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m.
II. OPEN AGEi~DA - POBLIC C0~ffi1'PS A1~D COH~NS
Don Roemer, 618 Best Park Valley Drive, requested further
ansrers from Decision Resources and staff on the selection
of the citisens rho participated in the focus group.
Mayor Redepenninq requested that 18c. Roemer submit a
mitten list of the questions and that he could see that the
ansrers could be forth coaainq.
Mike ~[iller, iiZ Raple Hill Road, foruaily thanked the city
staff for the inforaation provided to the Neighborhood
Advisory Board and indicated the ~l~AB~s nearly unanimous
support for the purchase and redevelopsent of the site.

Daffy Sren, 636 Hest Park Valley Drive, thanked the Council
for alloying him to ~sA*•ess the Council. 8e restated his
objections to the purchase of the Suburban Cha~~~let
property and the projected Performing Arts Facility project.

Councilmember Anderson stated that the vote ras in~i~~ect on
Item D of the February 15, 1994 minutes and asked that
corrections be made. Both Councilmember Anderson and
Councilmember l~Iazrell voted Aye and the vote Mae unanimous.
Councilmember Desch requested that bate l~innich~s name had
been spelled incorrectly. She also made a correction on her
report of the Chemical Health Coaemission meeting.

Jim ~'ustus, i Farmdale Road, appeared before Council to
discuss his proposed changes to his property.
After discussion Cauncilmembar Anderson moved and
Councilm~ Na~nrell seconded the motion to a~~~~re

suburban Chevrolet property.
This notion Mould alloy the Council concurrence rith the SRA
regarding directing staff to ~rubare and esacuta the
necessary documents to pur~h~~e the Suburban Chevrolet
property as per the Option Agreement dated !larch 16, 1993.
Councilmembsr NaxMall moved and Councilmembar Anderson
seconded the notion to aY~~ve the purchase of the Suburban
Chevrolet property.

Hoard stating that the me~abers Mere updated on the
renovations to the Parks, laetsold Field and Shady Oak
Heach. 8e also reminded the public that Coffee Mith the
Council Mill begin Saturday morning, larch 5, 1994 at 9:00
a.m. Mich Mayor R~edepenning and Councilmember laxvell in
attendance. •
