MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, September 5, 2006
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:46 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council
meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Thompson,
Rowan, Halverson, and Youakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow.

City Manager Getschow stated that the Walser Company has submitted plans to the City to go
before the Zoning and Planning Commission and the City Council in early October.
• Council member Youakim mentioned a concern with the condition of the lot behind Honda Collision.
• Council member Youakim also stated that there is a real estate sign blocking the sidewalk off
Mainstreet.
• City Manager Getschow stated that Opus plans for a demolition groundbreaking in October.
• Mayor Maxwell stated that there is one and potentially two openings on the Park Board to be filled.
• City Manager Getschow reminded Council members to visit the dog park in Edina, prior to any
discussions that the Council will have regarding promoting this dog park for Hopkins residents.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Halverson, seconded by Youakim to adjourn
the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 pm.
