AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, July 18, 2006
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:50 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council
meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Thompson,
Rowan, Halverson, and Youakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow.
Park Board Update
City Manager Getschow briefly updated the Council on the Park Board meeting that had occurred on
Monday, July 17. The main topic was the proposed dog park in South Hopkins.
Fences on Excelsior Boulevard
Council and staff have stated that residents on the final phase of Excelsior Boulevard have contacted
them regarding the county replacing their fences. The project is still quite a few years out and there is
concern from the residents that several of the fences will fail before the county project comes through. City
staff will follow up on that project.
2007 Budget
The City Manager handed out a memo from the finance director regarding the 2007 budget
process. The Council will begin meeting in August to discuss the 2007 budget leading up to the
approval of the preliminary levy in September.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Thompson, seconded by Youakim to adjourn
the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 pm.
