MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Monday, June 19, 2006
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:45 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council
meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Thompson,
and Halverson. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow.
Shady Oak Road Neighborhood Meetings
City member Halverson asked about the schedule for the upcoming Shady Oak Road meetings. City
Manager Getschow stated that there is a Hopkins residential meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 21 for
residential properties as it relates to the road alignment for northern and southern property owners. On
Thursday, June 29 there will be a Shady Oak neighborhood meeting for the businesses in the southern
portion along Shady Oak Road, related to the realignment. Getschow stated that he would email the
Council members the schedule for those neighborhood meetings. The feedback received from the
neighborhood meetings will be brought forward to the July 11 joint City Council Work Session with the
city of Minnetonka. It is anticipated that the two city councils will then consider approval of the layout at
an August City Council meeting.
City Assessor Contract
Mayor Maxwell requested information on the city's cost of the contract since inception.
"ewer Backup Insurance
In 2005 city staff was investigating whether to acquire no-fault sewer backup insurance as an extra
policy for the City. With two new Council members on in 2006, the City Manager will bring back
information to the two new members regarding the progress of that project.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Thompson, seconded by Halverson to adjourn the
meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
