06-06-06 WSJune 6, 2006 Page 1 MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING Tuesday, June 6, 2006 Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:20 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Rowan, Thompson, Halverson, and Youakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow. Dog Park City member Rowan stated that he had received a copy of the letter from the attorneys representing Meadow Creek Condominiums opposed to the dog park. The opposition is based on the fact that they feel that the dog park is not in keeping with the easement that was granted for that particular parcel of land for open park recreation and open space use. The City Manager stated that he would research more information on the history of that particular parcel and the transaction that had occurred where the city had received an easement for that property. United Properties Development The Council discussed receiving information on a United Properties Development project for the potential construction of senior cooperative condominiums and townhomes on the East end of town. The developer was beginning to hold meetings at the Hopkins Center for the Arts for potential buyers within a three to five mile range, age 55 and older. Official site plan and concept drawings have not yet been received for staff to bring to the Council for consideration. It is possible that a concept review and site plan eview could be scheduled for a future Council meeting for consideration this summer. June 20 City Council Meeting Council consensus was to move the Tuesday, June 20 meeting to Monday, June 19. There being no further business, a motion was made by Youakim, seconded by Thompson to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 pm.
