MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, January 2, 2007
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 9:00 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council
meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Thompson,
Rowan, Halverson, and Youakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow.

• City Manager Getschow announced that the next work session will mainly involve a meeting
with the State legislative delegation.
• City Manager Getschow reminded the Council that the last time a variance came before the
Council a resident commented that it would be nice to have a site plan provided with the
variance notice. The City Manager stated that in most cases that will be able to occur and the
plan going forward is to provide a site plan with each notice of a variance or land use
application.
• The City Manager asked the Council to provide any input over the next week on the legislative
agenda being drafted for dissemination to legislators and other community organizations and
interests.
Council member Rowan briefly discussed an update he was provided as related to a major
nuisance abatement.
Mayor Maxwell asked the question about the City maintenance of the regional trail system in
Hopkins.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Youakim, seconded by Halverson to adjourn
the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9:12 pm.
