MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
September 20, 2005
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:15 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council
meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Thompson, Brausen,
Johnson, and Rowan. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow.
Employee Recognition Luncheon
The City Manager and the Council went over the date and the agenda for the All Employee Recognition
Luncheon that is scheduled for Tuesday, October 4.
Hiawatha Oaks
City Manager Getschow distributed a letter from Pat Isaaks with some questions regarding the resolution
recognition for the Hiawatha Oaks project.
2005 Street Utility Improvements
Council member Johnson stated the improvements seem to be finished and look great.
Bus Depot
Mayor Maxwell, Council Member Rowan and City Manager Getschow updated the Council on the
neighborhood meeting that had taken place that evening at Katherine Curren School for the construction of a bus
of facility on the landfill site. Consensus was that a second neighborhood meeting would be hosted before all
ies come back to the City Council in October.
Citizens Academy
City Manager and City Council discussed the schedule and agendas for the upcoming Citizens Academy.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Council member Thompson, seconded by Council
member Johnson to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9:00
pm.
