MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
February 15, 2005
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 10:02 pm at the conclusion of the regular City
Council meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members
Johnson, Thompson, Brausen, and Rowan. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow.
Bellgrove Neighborhood Trail Issue
Council member Brausen discussed a call that he received from a Bellgrove resident regarding a trail
that was constructed by a neighbor for possible use by dirt bikes. Brausen suggested that at a future Ciry
Council work session this item be discussed. He will forward the information that he received to the City
Manager.
Depot Coffee House
Council member Brausen discussed a meeting that was to take place between Fran Hesch of the
Depot Coffee Boazd and Royal Cuisine. That meeting was cancelled. The City Manager stated he would
assist in seeing that another was scheduled.
Customer Service Cards
Council member Thompson stated that good inspection cazds were received for both the Police
Department and the Public Works Department and was impressed with the cards that had come back.
Water Meter Replacement as Part of the 2005 Street Improvements
Council member Thompson stated that the letter that went out to the residents regarding water meter
replacement as part of the 2005 improvements, was a very good letter.
Lot 800
Council member Johnson discussed a possible addition to the plans for Lot 800 as it relates to a
walkable entry on the corner of 10" and 1"
ICA Funding Request
Council member Johnson reiterated that she would like to seethe City find other funds, be it excess
General Fund dollazs at the end of the 2004 Budget year to possibly assist ICA.
Purchase of Property on Interlachen Road
City Manager Getschow stated that the resident that had the potential preferred bid for the property
requested that the item be placed on the consent agenda.
State of the City Address
Council discussed a time, date and location for the State of the City address.
Chemical Health Commission
The Mayor stated' that he had a potential person for the Chemical Health Commission for an

appointment at the March 1 meeting.
Southwest LRT
The Mayor stated that he had received a letter from Hennepin County requesting that a City Council
member or City official be appointed to a Policy Advisory Committee for the LRT discussions. Council
member Rowan expressed interest. The City Manager will follow up.
There being no further items, a motion was made by Council member Brausen, seconded by Council
member Johnson to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at
10:39 pm.
