MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
November 15, 2005
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:45 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council
meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Thompson, Brausen,
and Rowan. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow. Also present were ICristi Halverson and
Cheryl Youakim.
Noise Meeting
Council stated that the neighborhood meeting for Marketplace Lofts on Mainstreet noise issues that had
occurred a day earlier had gone well. Council had discussed the follow up that will be occurring as a result of
that meeting.
Thank You Letters
Council member Thompson stated that the two thank you letters that were written for two teachers in the
Hopkins School District were well done and he appreciated that copies were put in the Update.
Twentieth Avenue Townhomes
Mayor Maxwell stated that be had received the talking points from the HRA regarding the 20'" Avenue
~nhomes. City Manager Getschow provided some background on the 20`" Avenue town home projects, the
public housing units that could potentially be redeveloped in 2006.
Clock Tower
City Manager Getschow stated the clock tower should be repaired within a week. Council member
Thompson asked what the warranty was on the clock tower work. The City Manager will obtain and provide that
information.
Hopkins School District Bus Depot
An update was provided on the bus depot project that the City and School District have been working on
over the past year.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Council member Thompson, seconded by Mayor
Maxwell to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 pm.
