MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
December 6, 2005
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:50 pm at the conclusion of the regular City Council
meeting at City Hall. Council members present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members Thompson, Brausen,
and Rowan. City personnel present were City Manager Rick Getschow. Also present were Kristi Halverson and
Cheryl Youakim, newly elected officials who will take office in January.

Council member Thompson stated that he noticed that there were more broken windows at the SuperValu
building on the North Annex. City Manager Getschow said he would follow up.
Commission Appointments
Council discussed the fact that there were some upcoming vacancies on the Planning and Zoning
Commission and there are also vacancies on the Human Rights Commission. Persons will be solicited for
membership. Currently there are no openings on the Charter Commission and the Park Board.
New Incoming Council Member Orientation
The two new incoming Council members, Cheryl Youakim and Kristi Halverson stated that they had
nded an orientation with the City Manager and City staff earlier in the week that was very good.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Council member Thompson, seconded by Brausen
to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 pm.
