08-31-1965 A regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, was held on Tuesday, August 31, 1965, at 7 :30 P.M. , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall. ^ Present were A. G. Larson, Chairman Pro Tem, members Blake and Pokorny, also City Manager Brubacher, Building Inspector Blomquist and City Planner Hawks. Case No. 65-22 Special Use Permit Applicant: John Lyon Subject: Hearing at 7 :30 P.M. for a Special Use Permit and variance of side and front yards in accordance with plan submitted on the following described premises. Lot 14 and 15, Block 56, West Minneapolis. Address : 637-643 13th Avenue South. Action: Mr. Blake moved, and Mr. Pokorny seconded the motion, that recommendation Reel 31 be made to the City Council that a Special Use Permit and variance be Side 1 granted of side and front yards in accordance with plan submitted on the 5-54 following described premises. Lot 14 and 15, Block 56, West Minneapolis. Address - 637-643-13th Avenue South. Motion carried. Case No. 65-24-V Applicant: W. R. Soderholm Subject: Hearing at 7 :30 P.M. on an application to construct a single family house on the South 40 feet of Lot 4, Block 8, Gibb's First Addition to West Minneapolis and allow 8 foot side yards. Address : 34 - 15th Avenue North. � Action: Mr. Blake moved, and Mr. Pokorny seconded the motion, that reconunendation 54-116 be made to the City Council that a variance be granted on application to construct a single family house on the South 40 feet of Lot 4, Block 8, Gibb's First Addition to West Minneapolis and allow 8 foot side yards. Address : 34 - 15th Avenue North. Motion carried. Action: Mr. Blake moved, and Mr. Pokorny seconded the motion, that Resolution No. 116-171 203, be approved. "RESOLUTION ORDERING A HEARING ON THE RE-ZONING OF LOTS 21 AND 22, BLOCK 7, WEST MINNEAPOLIS FROM M-R 1 TO C-1". Hearing to be held on September 28, 1965. Motion carried. Case No. 65-25 Special Use Permit Applicant; Ralph Rutledge Subject: Application for Special Use Permit and variance of rear yard in accordance with plan submitted on the following described premises situated in Hopkins, Hennepin County, Minnesota, viz: "That part of the West 12.75 chains of South one-half of Southwest Quarter of Northwest Quarter lying Southeasterly of Right-of-Way, Section 25, Township 117, Range 22, Hennepin County", Address : 1409 South 7th Street. .-. Action; Mr. Blake moved, and Mr. Pokorny seconded the motion, that Resolution No. 171-186 202, be approved. "RESOLUTION ORDERING HEARING FOR A SPECIAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCE OF REAR YARD IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLAN SUBMITTED". Hearing to be held September 14, 1965. Motion carried.
