10-13-1964 The special meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission of the City of Hopkins
was held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall on Tuesday, October 13, 1964
at 7:00 p.m. o'clock.
Present were Acting Chairman Mayor Milbert, and members Malecha, Larson and Blake.
The City Engineer, Strojan, City Building Inspector, Blomquist and City Planner,
Hawks.
Case No, l. 64-29-Major thoroughfare plan.
Applicant: The Zoning and Planning Commission.
Subject: The major thoroughfare system for the City of Hopkins.
Action: Mr. Blake moved and Mr. Malecha seconded the motion that the throughfare
system with the changes as suggested by the City Planner, as well as,
the proposed road system for the Steven's Oakwood Park area be approved
by the Zoning and Planning Commission. The motion carried.
Acting Chairman, Mayor Milbert, suggested that any plan before it is
finialized be shown to both the Fire and Police Departments for any
suggestions that those two Departments might have to make.
Case No. 2. 64-31-Goals and Stannards.
Applicant: The Zoning and Planning Commission.
Subject. The commercial goals and standards of the business firms in the City
^ of Hopkins as they apply to the 701 Program. �-�� - ` `�
Action: No formal action was taken, however, the Commission agreed with the
proposed goals set up by the City Planner and authorized him to
finialize his work.
Case No. 3. 64-26-Preliminary review of the economic base.
Applicant: The Zoning and Planning Commission.
Subject. A review of the economic base for the City of Hopkins.
Action: No formal action was taken. However, the Commission agreed with the
proposals as presented by the City Planner and authorized him to . _ ._.._ __
finialize his work.
A letter granting an extention of the contract time on the 701 Program
was presented for signature by the Chairman of the Commission.
Mr. Sundby was not present. The letter was taken by the City Planner
who will see Mr. Sundby and get his signature. The extension give
the Zoning and Planning Commission until January lst. 1965 to finish
their work under the 701 Program.
