A RESOLUTIOid ORDERING A HEARI�iG OPI PROPOSED AidF,2T�iENTS TU ZOldING ORDIi1A�'�TCE.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the city council and the zoning
commiasion of �.he city of Honkina reqneating that Ordinance No. 8 (the zoning
ordinance) of the city be amended by removing the following described real estate from
the residential district and placing it in the commercial district, to-wit:
Lots Seven (7) to Twelve (12) , inclusive, Block One (1) , West
I�inneapolis� Third Division, and
WHEFtFAS, the zoning commisaion desires to initiate the following amer.dment
to gaid ordinance, to-wit:
Amend Section 3. 9ubdivision 6 (b) , to read as fol.lows:
'�(b) . On a co rner lo t, the ei de yard on the st reet ei de o f such corzcer

lot sha1.1 have a width in addition to that hereinbefore soecified eo tha.t the total
width of such aide yard shall be equal to not less tha.n 50 ner centc� the front yard
devth required for such lot� to a maximum width required of 12 feet for such aide yard;
provided that this regulation aha.11 not be so applied as to reduce the build.e,ble width
after providing the required interior side yard of any such corner lot to less than

Y�HER�,AS, the zonin� commiasion desires to initiate the followi.ng amendment
to said ordinance, to-wit:
Remove the following described real estate from the residential district and
nlace it in the commercial district, namely:
Al� that nortion of Lots Eig�ty-one (gl) , Eighty-two (g2) and Eighty-three
(83) , Auditor's 9ubdiviaion No. 239, which lie southerly of �celsior
'� Ave,nue a.nd northerly of a line parallel to and One Hundred Fifty-four (15�+)
feet southerly of the South line of �ccelsior Avenue, and
WFIEREAS, a �etition has been filed with �he zoning commission of the city of
Ho�kins requesting that Section 7� Subdivision 5, of said ordinance� be amended by adding
thereto a proviaion re-
quiring churches to provide sufficient off-the-road parkin� area for all vehicles uaed by

the members of a.nd the vieitor� to such churches; NOW, TH�;REFORE,
IT IS HE�BY 0}3DERED tha.t the zoning commission hold a public hearing on all
of the matters hereinbefore aet forth in this resolution, at the council chambers in the
city hall on the 27th day of June, 19'�0, at g:OG o'clock P.M. , and tha.t the secretary of
the commisaion give seven (7) days publiahed notice of said hearin� in the official paper
of the city by publishin� a copy of thia reaolution therein.
