City Proiect 00-10 Overview The contractor has completed the construction of the 2001 Street and Utility Improvements and has completed all punch list items to the City's satisfaction. Primary Issues to Consider · Accepting Work and Final Payment The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done . satis factorily and all the necessary documents and final payment submittals have been received. Staff recommends approval for final payment. · Project Budget The final project cost is $1,057,439.40, which is well under the $] ,089,253.29 project contract that was originally approved for the project. Two change orders totaling $79,4 I 8.97 were authorized during construction. · Resolution 2002-68 Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work, orders final payment, and initiates a two- year ,varranty on the con1ract work. CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2002-68 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT 2001 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT CITY PROJECT 00- I 0 WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on May 16, 2001, Midwest Asphalt Corporation has satisfactorily completed construction of the 2001 Street and Utility Improvements Project, commonly known as City Project 00-10, in accordance with such contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby declared accepted and . approved. 2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the contractor's receipt in full. 3. A two-year warranty on contract work shall commence as of the date of this resol utiOll.
