06-25-1953 l � A special meeting of the Zonin� and Planni.ng Commission of Hopkins, i�Iinnesota was held on Thursday June 25, 1953 at 7:30 p.m. 2�embers present were Chairman ^ Anderla, ;�embers Hagen, Parks a.nd Johnson, City Manager Taylor, City Attorney Whitney, City Engineer Laska, M�yor l�rbix, Councilmen Vesely, Zakariasen ar�d Milbert and Councilmen elect Stevenson, Esnpanger, Sheldon, Witmer an,d l�c. Charles Nlatthews of Se�oe and Associates. Perbi.�c moved, Hagen seconded that recommend.ation be made to the City Council that the petition as submitted by Palmer E, and Mabel Jonnson for the vacation of the alley which runs in a northerly, southerl,y direction between 2nd Street North and St, I,ou3,s Street abuttzng upon Lots 1, 2, 3� 1�, 15, 16, 17 and 1� ell in Block l� West Minneapolis center, be approved arld that this vacation be treated on same terms as othar vacations in that vicinity. Carried. Parks moved, Taylor seconded that the petition to vacate part of Harrison �,venue and part of alley as presented by Daniel �. and Philamene M. xopesl�� be tabled for fwrther investigation,. Perbix moved, Parks secon�ded that recommendation be m�ie to the City Council that the request as presented by the M�f.nneapolis—Honeywell Regulator Compan,y for re— zoning from residentisl to industrial of approximately 10 3/4 acres of the Hennepin County Home property, purchased by them, be granted and ordinance be prepared covering same. Carried. � Parks moved, Hagen seconded that recommendation be made to the City Council that petition as presented by Elmo C. Ginkel, Walter W. Meyer and M. B.
