Oi HGPKINS RII,ATING TO A ZOi1II�iG AIV� PLANNING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the council of the city of Hopkins has initiated an amendment
to Ordinar:ce DTo. g (the zoning ordinance) of the cit� of Hop�ins, namely: proposed
ordinance No. E�� which amends Section 9, Section 10, Subdiv:sion 2, Section 11� Sl.ib-
division 2 and Secti�5h 11, 9izrdivieion 3 of said ordinance, and
WH�EAS, the effect af sa.id amendments are to aboli sh the preaent zoning
commisaion and create a zoning and planning commisaicn of nine membera, consisting
of five citizen freeholders who have been reeidenta and taapayers in the city, or
in territory formerly adjacent to the city which ia now part of the city� for at least
five yeare� and also the mayor, city manager and city engineer as ex officio members,
� and one member of the city council other than the mayor, which zoning and planning
commisaion is to have the powers now vested in the zoning commisaion and other and
additional powers when acting as a planning commisaion; NO«� THEREFURE�
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the zoning commission hold a public hearing on
said initiated amendments at the council ch ambera in the city hall on the 13th
day of February _, 1951, at g:�0 o'clock P.M. , and that the eecretary of the
commission glve seven daya published notice of said hearing in the official newsp�,per
of the city b� publiahing a copy of thia reaolution therein.
ADOPTED by the zoning cos�ission of the city of Hopkina, Hennepin County,
Min-�esota� thi e 2 th day of January, 1951.
