A RESOLUTIUN ORDERING A HEARIfvG ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT
TO ZONING ORDIh'ANCE RELATING TO USE REGULATIONS IN THE
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS , the Zoning and Planning Commission of the city of Hopkins
desires to initiate the following amendment to Ordinance No. 8 (the zoning
ordinance) of the city of Hopkins, namely:
Amend Section 3, Subdivision 2, to read as follows; "Subdivision 2.
USE REGULATIONS. In the residential district, unless otherwise provided in
this ordinanee, no building or land shall be used, and no building shall
hereafter be erected or structurally altered except for one or more of the
�- following uses;
(a) . One famtly or two-family dwellings and fiheir accessory buildings;
(b) . Farming or truck gardening; plant nurseries or greenhouses, when
not used or operated for commerciat purposes;
(c) . Parks a nd p la ygrounds, go t f courses or go l f c l ubs;
(d). Churches, libraries, museums, schools, memorial buildings,
including name plates and bulletin boards placed in back of fihe prescribed
set ba ck I i nes;
(e) . Home occupations. "
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Zoning and Planning Commission hold
a public hearing on such initiated amendment at the Council Chambers in the

city hall in the city of Hopkins on the30fih day of August, 1955, at 8;00
o+clock p.m. , and that the secretary of the commission give seven days+ publishe d
notice of said hearing in the offici� t newspaper of the city.
ADOPTED by the Zoning and Planning Commission of the city of Hopkins
at a regufar meeting thereof held this 9th day of August, t955•
