06-25-1974 A regular meeting of the Hopkins Zoning and Planning Commission was held on
Tuesday, June 25, 1974 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
Present were Chairman Shirley, members Arnold, Gaskell, Hance, Sidla and Vassar.
�' Also present were City Manager Cotton, City Clerk Richardson, City Engineer Strojan
and Zoning Administrator Kohnen.
Item: Review of remodeling plans of Strobeck-Johnson Funeral Home.
Action: Mr. Vassar moved and Mr. Hance seconded the motion to recommend to the
City Council approval of the remodeling plans for Strobeck-Johnson Funeral
Home. Motion carried. Mr. Sidla abstained from voting.
Item: Rezoning of the property at 10, 14 and 18 12th Avenue North from R-5 to B-1.
Action: Mr. Arnold moved and Mr. Sidla seconded a motion not to consider any
changes in the proposed zoning ordinance now in the hands of the City Council.
Motion carried. Mr. Hance voting no.
Item: Flood Plain discussion.
Action: Mr. Vassar moved and Mr. Arnold seconded a motion to have a delegate
from the Watershed District at the July 30, 1974 meeting to explain the
Flood Plain and what we can do on Flood Plain land as far as use. Motion
� carried.
Item: Comments on priorities of 1974 Work Program.
Action: No new projects until after the July 16, 1974 Council meeting at which
time the Council will review the new zoning proposals.
Action: Mr. Gaskell moved and Mr. Vassar seconded a motion that the meeting be
adjourned. Motion carried.
