NOTICE OF HEARING
ON PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT OF
THE INTE RSECTION OF COUNTY ROAD 5
(MINNETONKA BLVD) AND COUNTY ROAD 73
The 5tate law provides that any County Highway improvement within the
City limits must be approved by the municipal Council.
Hennepin County has proposed an upgrading of this intersection. This
section of County road would be constructed with separate left turn lanes
on County Road # 73. Other major features proposed include raised
centerline medians which would affect left turn access to abutting properties.
Traffic signals are propased to be installed. Storm sewer improvements are
`, also included. The estimated cost of this project is $450,000.00.
The revisions at this intersection affect properties on County Road 73
between Manitoba Road and Loring Road.
The proposed plan is on display at the Hopkins City Hall on the wall
in the lobby of the Police Station until the date of the Public Hearing.
The Police Station is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
The municipal review of this Proposed Plan is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
on Tuesday, March 30, 1976 by the Planning and Zoning Commission at which
time you can state your views on the proposed project. Written statements
may be submitted at the hearing or prior to the hearing.
