09-28-1976 A regular meeting of the Hopkins Zoning and Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, � September 28, 1976, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Present were Chairman Arnold, members Hance and Slaton. Also present were Zoning Administrator Kohnen, City Manaaer Cotton and City Planner Hawks. Item: Approve and sign minutes of June 29, 1976, July 12, 1976, July 27, 1976 and August 31, 1976. Action: Minutes of June 29, July 12, and July 27 meetings were approved and signed. Minutes of August 31, continued to October 26, 1976 meeting. Item: Discussion of old and new business by commission members only: 1. For the record, Mrs. Moll resigned. 2. Have John Strojan aive a report on the parking proaress and traffic flow between Excelsior Avenue and First Street North on Ninth Avenue. Report to be ready for the meeting October 26, 1976. 3. Have staff make up an attendance chart from January 1, 1976 to September 28, 1976 and include in the next packet. 4. Reminder to members when you are unable to attend a meeting, please contact Mr. Arnold or Mr. Cotton. .. Case No: 76-16 Hearing on an application by Red Owl Stores Inc. for the vacation of Adams Avenue and First Street North from Excelsior Avenue to the Burlington Northern right-of-way, continued from August 31, 1976. Action: Dr. Slaton moved and Mr. Hance seconded a motion to recommend to the City Council approval of the vacation of Adams Avenue providing Red Owl bring in a survey of the property to be vacated and present it to the City Manager and then he will put it on the Council Agenda. Motion carried. Item: Appearance by Hennepin County regarding Project 7512 County Road No. 3 (800 feet East of County Road 20 to 500 feet 4lest of Louisiana) . Action: Dr. Slaton moved and Mr. Hance seconded a motion to have a hearing on Project 7512 on October 26, 1976. Motion carried. Action: Dr. Slaton moved and Mr. Hance seconded a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried.
