subject home was at the same front setback as the other homes in the neighborhood. The subject

meeting. The Commission moved this item down on the agenda to see if the applicants would
appear.

Hopkins Business and Civic Association (HBCA), appeared before the Commission. The

signage. Nelson Berg, a businessperson in Hopkins, stated there were two issues: simplicity and the
need to address various requirements for parking.

ZN99-4 NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING LEGISLATIVE POLICY
Ms. Anderson stated that the language has been changed from an ordinance amendment to a

requirement, whereas an ordinance would not. The Commission indicated that a legislative policy
was more appropriate than an ordinance. The Commission also indicated that this policy was a good
concept.
Mr. Gross moved and Mr. Szuba seconded a motion to approve Resolution RZ99-17,
recommending approval of a legislative policy to require neighborhood meetings. The motion
was approved unanimously.
