COMMISSION ACTION: / / / / ADJQURNMENT ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES � February 24, 1998 A regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, February 24, 1998, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Hopkins City Hall. Present were Commission members Sid Blair, Dorothy Boen, Randy Engel, Roger Gross, Pat Gleeson, and Bill Schumacher. Gene Maxwell was present for Council Representive Fran Hesch. Also present was City Planner Nancy Anderson. CALL TO ORDER Mr. Engel called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Blair moved and Mr. Gross seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the Janu�ry 27, 1998, regular meeting. The motion carried unanimously. CASE NO. CUP 98-1 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT--914 MAINSTREET Ms. Anderson reviewed the proposed awning with the Commission. David Carlson, the applicant � appeared before the Commission. Mr. Carlson stated that the building owner wants to use the basement and there is a water problem. The awning is hoped to stop the water problem in the basement. The public hearing was opened at 6:40 p.m. Mr. Blair moved and Mr. Gross seconded a motion to close the public hearing at 6:41 p.m. The motion was approved unanimously. Mr. Schumacher moved and Mr. Gross seconded a motion to approve Resolution RZ98-1, recommending approval of a conditional use permit to construct an awning at 914 Mainstreet. The motion was approved unanimously.
