ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
December 30, 1997
A regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, December 30, 1997,
at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Hopkins City Hall.
Present were Commission members Randy Engel, Dorothy Boen, Roger Gross, Rick Brausen, Pat
Gleeson, Bill Schumacher and Council Representative Fran Hesch.
Also present was City Planner Nancy Anderson.
CALL TO ORDER
Mr. Brausen called the meeting to order.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mrs. Boen moved and Mr. Gleeson seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the November
25, 1997, meeting. The motion carried unanimously.
CASE NO: CUP97-7 CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A SIGN
� Ms. Anderson reviewed the proposed signage. The proposed sign meets the requirements for a
conditional use permit for a sign except for the setback.
Mr. Schumacher arrived at this time.
Elly Burrington representing Stuart Management Corporation appeared before the Commission. Ms.
Burrington stated that they need to make the sign bigger because it is the only sign on the site.
Ms. Burrington stated that they would be moving the sign to the five-foot setback.
Ms. Burrington also stated that they hopefully will be occupying the first building on January 15 and
the whole development should be done by April 1.
The public hearing was opened at 7:36 p.m. No one spoke at the public hearing. Mr. Engel moved
and Mr. Gross seconded a motion to close the public hearing at 7:37. The motion carried
unanimously. Mr. Engel moved and Mrs. Boen seconded a motion to approve Resolution RZ97-18,
recommending approval of a conditional use permit to construct a sign at the Raspberry Woods
townhomes development. The motion carried unanimously.

unanimously.
