COMMISSION ACTION: � � � � ITEM: REVIEW PARKING STUDY ADJOURNMENT � / � - � _ ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES March 26, 1996 A regular meeting of the Zoning and Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Hopkins City Hall. Present were Commission members Pat Gleeson, Sid Blair, Dan Johnson, Kate Kinnich, Rick Brausen, Bill Schumacher, and Council Representative Gene Maxwell. Also present was City Planner Nancy Anderson. CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Johnson called the meeting to order. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mr. Schumacher moved and Mrs. Kinnich seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the February 27, 1996, meeting. The motion carried unanimously. ---� CASE NO. SUBD96-1 PRELIMINARY/FINAL PLAT-- JUSTUS ADDITION Ms. Anderson reviewed the plat for the Commission. Ms. Anderson noted that the County will be requiring additional right-of-way when County Road 3 is upgraded. The public hearing was opened at 6:35 p.m. No one came forward to speak. Mr. Blair moved and Mr. Brausen seconded a motion to close the public hearing at 6:36 p.m. The motion was approved unanimously. Mr. Schumacher moved and Mr. Blair seconded a motion to approve Resolution RZ96-5, recommending approval of a preliminary/final plat at the southwest corner of County Road 3 and l lth Avenue. The motion was approved unanimously. ITEM: REVIEW PARKING STUDY HBCA is in the process of reviewing the parking study and will have a recommendation at the April meeting. The Commission discussed the parking study. Mrs. Kinnich noted that much of the traffic for the arts facility will be buses and not cars. The Commission asked if Mr. Benshoof could appear at the next meeting to review the study with the Commission.
