. Primary Issues to Consider
. Is there a liquor license available?
The City can issue ten on-sale liquor licenses. Nine on-sale licenses were issued in
2000. Eight licenses have been issued in 2001. This license will replace one of those
licenses, so the total number of licenses for 2001 will still be eight. We will still have
two licenses available.
. The Principals of the Corporation
There are three officers of the Corporation listed on the application. They are Robert
M. Byer, Mary Ann Dean, and Joel D. Chesin. Mr. Byer and Mr. Chesin are involded in
other liquor establishments. Nothing came up on any of the applicants in the
background investigation.
Alternatives
1. Move to approve the application for an on-sale and Sunday on-sale liquor license
along with the supporting licenses.
. 2. Continue for more information.
3. Deny the license application.
Staff recommends alternative one.
