MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, December 4"', 2007
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:48 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council
members Halverson, Brausen, Rowan and Youakim. City personnel present were City Manager Rick
Getschow.
U.S Women's Open 2008: City Manager Getschow discussed with the City Council the conversation that he
and city staff has had with residents of the Interlachen neighborhood and representatives of the 2008 U.S.
Women's Open. Discussions centered on NBC use of Interlachen Park during the event and the overall
logistics of the event. There will be more discussions with members of the neighborhood and there will
eventually be a larger neighborhood meeting in early 2008.
St Louis Park Plume: City Manager Getschow distributed information regarding the water quality and
vapor issues in St. Louis Park. He also handed out an e-mail from Fublic Works Director, Steve Stadler that
stated that these issues should not have an effect on the City of Hopkins . The city staff will monitor t~iis
issue.
Nine Mile Creek Watershed/City of Hopkins Nei hg borhood Meetings: There will be neighborhood
meetings on Wednesday and Thursday for the City and the 2008 creek restoration project. There was also a
brief discussion on the Parker Office Condominium project that is planned bear Highway 169.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Brausen, seconded by Youakim to adjourn the
meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 pm.
