Approve 2005 Seal Coat Contract
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt
Resolution 2005-064 resolution for award of contract. 2005 Seal Coat Proiect.
Overview
The 2005 Seal Coat project includes the Hobby Acres-Campbell neighborhood, Dow
Towers parking lot and City Hall parking lot. Work is to begin on July 25, 2005 and be
completed by August 5.
There were three quotes received for this work with the low quote of $34,951.00 coming
from Allied Blacktop Company. Allied is an experienced and qualified contractor.
Funding for this project is from the 2005 seal coat budget.
Staff recommends the award of the project to Allied Blacktop Company.

RESOLUTION FOR A WARD OF CONTRACT
2005 SEAL COAT PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota that the
lowest quote of Allied Blacktop Company in the amount of $34,951.00 is the lowest
responsible quote for the 2005 Seal Coat Project, and the Mayor and City Manager are
hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Allied Construction Company
for and on behalf ofthe City.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins this 19th day ofJuly 2005.
