Approve Temporary 3.2 Beer On Sale License
for the Hopkins Jaycees During Raspberry Festival
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the Hopkins Area
Jaycees applications for temporary 3.2 beer licenses from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on July 15
and from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on July 16 and from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. on July 17. 2005
in lot 300 with the condition that Hopkins Police Officers are providino security for the dances
and that a certificate of insurance showino Iiouor liability is submitted to the Clerk's office prior
to the event.
This action will allow the Jaycees to sell beer, on-sale, at the tent dance, the afternoon of family
days, and the afternoon and early evening on the day of the parade.
Overview
The Hopkins Area Jaycees have applied for one license to sell 3.2 beer, on-sale, during
Raspberry Days. They will be holding the tent dance on Friday and Saturday night of the last
weekend of the Festival. The permit will be valid for the full weekend to allow them to have the
beer tent on family days and on parade day.
The Hopkins Police Department has reviewed the application and has found no reason to deny
the application.
