RZ06-14 CITY OF HOPKINS � Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO. RZ06-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HOPKINS ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF THE UPDATED ALTERNATIVE AREAWIDE REVIEW AND UPDATED MITIGATION PLAN FOR THE EXCELSIOR CROSSINGS OFFICE DEVELOPMENT AS THE REVISED ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS DOCUMENT AND PLAN FOR MITIGATION FOR THE EXCELSIOR CROSSINGS AREA WHEREAS, on February 17, 2006, the City Council of the City of Hopkins directed that Medica Corporate Office Development Alte�°native Urban Areawide Review be updated to cover the area designated as SuperValu North Annex Parcel and a parcel to the north designated as the Chimney Parcel and to address a new development proposal from Opus Northwest, L.L.C. for this area; and WHEREAS, the City prepared the Updated Alternative Urban Areawide Review And Updated Mitigation Plan for the Excelsior Crossings Office Development (Updated AUAR � And Mitigation Plan); and WHEREAS, the Updated AUAR And Mitigation Plan noticed and distributed in accordance with EQB Environmental Review Program Rules; and WHEREAS, the City held a public open house during the comment period and took written comments on the Updated AUAR And Mitigation Plan; and WHEREAS, the review and comment phase of the AUAR Update was completed on Apri125, 2006; and WHEREAS, responses to the Updated AUAR And Mitigation Plan were received from the Metropolitan Council, Hennepin County Transportation Department, Minnesota Department of Transportation; Chandra Erickson, Pete and Kathy Stiehm, Bob Shaw, and Steve Shaw; and WHEREAS, the City prepared the Responses To Comments On And Amendments To The Updated Alternative Areawide Review And Appendix For The Excelsior Crossings Office Development dated May 4, 2006 (Updated AUAR Responses And Amendments); and � WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Commission has reviewed comments received by the City and the Updated AUAR Responses And Amendments; � WHEREAS, the Zoning and Planning Commission believes the Updated AUAR Responses And Amendments responds fully to the comments received by the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Zoning and Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City Council approve the Updated AUAR And Mitigation Plan and the Updated AUAR Responses And Amendments as the revised Environmental Analysis and Plan for Mitigation for the SuperValu North Annex and Chimney Parcels and the Excelsior Crossings Office Development.
