RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING
APPLICATION FOR REZONING ZN85-40
WHEREAS, a request for rezoning was made by the City of Hopkins,
requesting a change in zoning from R-6 to R-2 Residential in the South-
west portion of the City.
WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows:
1. That a request for rezoning ZN85-40 was requested by the City
of Hopkins on November 2, 1986.
2. That the City of Hopkins Planning Commission reviewed such ap-
plication on November 26, 1985.
3. That the City of Hopkins Planning Cor�nission, pursuant to pub-
lished and mailed notices, held a public hearing on November 26,
1985; all persons present at the hearing were given an opportunity
to be heard.
4. That the written comments and analysis of the City Staff and the
^ Planning Commission were considered.
NOW THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Hopkins City Council
makes the following Findings of Fact in respect to ZN85-40:
1. That a R-2 Residential Zoning is consistent with the 1990 Compre-
hensive Plan designation for this site.
2. Bring zoning into conformance with present use of subject site
and surrounding uses.
Adopted this 21 day of January, 1986.

Rezoning in Southwest fiopkins
Area west of Patio Homes zoned R-6 to R-2
11/26/85 Zoning
Recommend approval of rezoning based on the fact that the land is of an unstable
condition and it brings the zoning into conformance with the Comprehensive Plan,
the change from R-6 to R-2 based on the fact that there is a desire to keep a
buffer between the residential area and industrial area and desire for open space,
and the continuation of the existing R-2 residential area of Westbrooke.
