This ordinance would exclude any person who is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practices from the requirement to obtain a massage license. As per the Council motion at first reading, providing proof of licensure to the City Clerk was added for second reading. 1010 First Street South - (612) 935-8474 CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota ORDINANCE 2008-995 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 185 OF THE HOPKINS CITY CODE The City Council of the City of Hopkins does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1 . Section 1 1 85 is amended as follows: 1185.05 License Required. Subdivision 1 . It shall be unlawful for any person to practice as a massage therapist in the City of Hopkins without first obtaining a license to do so. Subd. 2. The license will be effective for one year and run from July 1 through June 30 of the license year. (Amended Ord. 2003-899} Subd. 3. Exclusion. Any person who is licensed by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practices shall not be required to obtain a massage license from the City of Hopkins when said person provides proof of licensure to the City Clerk. Section 2.
