AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, June 18, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a work session of the Hopkins City Council was
held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 8:04 p.m. at the Hopkins Fire Station, 101 17th
Avenue South, Hopkins.
Mayor Gadd called the meeting to order with Council Members Brausen, Kuznia,
Halverson attending. Council Member Hunke was absent. Staff present included City
Manager Mornson.
City Council
• Mayor Gadd attended the Metropolitan Cities board meeting.
• Discussion of the upcoming Duluth conference.
• Council Member Halverson discussed traffic and noise concerns.
Administration:
City Manager Mornson gave the following updates:
• City Hall construction update with move in scheduled for after Labor Day.
• Notification of the City Council filing dates would be published in the Sun Sailor
newspaper. Filing begins July 30 and runs for 2 weeks.
• Letters would be sent on Friday regarding the new Auto Ordinance inspection.
• Next phase of the Comprehensive Plan would be updates to ordinances. Budget
includes a request for proposals for a consultant.
• Discussion of changes and options to the Massage Ordinance would be on a future
Work Session agenda.
• Discussion of options for LTD brewery expansion or new location.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by
Brausen, seconded by Kuznia, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 8:21 p.m.
