MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION PROCEEDINGS
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a work session of the Hopkins City Council was
held on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 10:17 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at
Hopkins City Hall, 1010 First Street South, Hopkins.
Mayor Gadd called the meeting to order with Council Members Brausen, Kuznia,
Halverson and Hunke attending. Staff present included City Manager Mornson, Director
of Planning and Development Elverum, Assistant City Manager Lenz, City Planner
Lindahl, City Attorney Riggs, and Public Works Director Stadler.
Administration:
City Manager gave the following updates:
Discussion of the proposal from the City of Minnetonka and limitations of the site.
Artspace discussion on the November 12 Work Session agenda.
Employee Appreciation Luncheon on November 13.
Discussion about including the Beacon project on the December 10 Work Session
agenda.
City Planner Lindahl discussed the development and public engagement process.
Discussion of the City Council Work Session format.
City Council
Discussion of the Blake Road redevelopment and vision for the property.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by
Hunke, seconded by Kuznia, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 10:41p.m.
