This year we have designated time over the next three months to assess the current goals and objectives of departments to use in creating new goals and initiatives for 2021. The proposed schedule: JANUARY 5 Kick off by Mike Mornson with highlights from 2020 and thoughts for 2021 JANUARY 12 Planning and Development Update from Kersten Elverum JANUARY 19 Finance Update from Nick Bishop FEBRUARY 2 Police and Fire Updates from Brent Johnson and Dale Specken FEBRUARY 9 Public Works and Recreation Updates from Steve Stadler and Kelly O’Dea FEBRUARY 16 Community Services Update from Ari Lenz MARCH 2/9 Recap Work Session and discuss next steps City Manager 2021 Mission and Goals Hopkins City Council Mike Mornson, City Manager City Council and Staff State of the City 2020 Mission Inspire Educate Involve Communicate Vision All people feel safe and respected, and diversity is celebrated. Business growth is supported and a vibrant downtown is maintained. People enjoy exceptional government services, neighborhoods, and outstanding schools.
